Westin Puerto Vallarta Review:
A beautiful resort for singles, couples and families with all inclusive packages available. The staff is the best part of this resort as they aim to please.
The resort is located near the airport which is a short cab ride (about $4) from the downtown area. If you plan to relax by the pool all day, this is a great resort, but if you plan to do a lot of shopping, sight seeing, bar hopping, etc… you might want to find a resort closer to downtown Puerto Vallarta.
The Royal Beach Club section offers the best rooms, dedicated staff, concierge services and private beach/pool areas. There is a morning breakfast and early evening cocktails and appetizers. The evening spread is hearty enough to make a meal. Something to consider as you compare prices and decide if you want to add the all inclusive package.
The pool is huge and awesome. There is a swim-up bar and some nice touches likes shaded pool areas and lounge chairs in the water. The wait staff makes sure everyone in the pool area is happy, well fed and never thirsty. When a resort puts this much work into the pool it often means that the beach is sub-par. This is true of this resort as the beach is small and rocky. The water is not very conducive to a relaxing dip, but is great for jet skis and parasailing.
