Catalonia Royal Tulum Review:
All inclusive resort for adults located on a beautiful white sand beach about an hour south of Cancun, Mexico.
This resort is an exceptional value because you get a great beach, wonderful service, decent food, premium drinks, and lots of activities and entertainment. It gets great reviews and is often compared favorably to other all inclusive resorts that are more expensive.
There is no need to rush to the beach before breakfast to put your towel on a chair. There are no problems finding beach or pool chairs. Compared to other resorts, this removes a stressful factor each day. The eight beachside beds are another story as a daily competition ensues.
Take some tip money along as the staff works very hard and offers great service. You don’t have to tip, but it is appreciated by the staff.
If you try to call ahead to improve your room location, building six is located closest to the water and pool, but there are pool parties some nights with loud music until after midnight. Also, some of the junior suites have been upgraded while others have not. Ask the reservations person if you can be put in an upgraded room. Another thing to think about is that there are no elevators and some of the rooms are far from the beach. If you have trouble walking or climbing stairs, be sure to tell the reservations staff.
